MEI was appointed by DTZ Investors to deliver a comprehensive suite of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services for the prestigious Electric Press building in the heart of Leeds city centre. As part of a Category A fit-out for three office floors, our team was tasked with transforming the space into a modern, functional, and energy-efficient office environment while preserving the building’s unique architectural character.

The project involved the design and installation of an extensive range of systems to support the building's functionality, comfort, and safety. Key elements of the work included:

• Ventilation, Heating, and Cooling Systems: We provided a fully integrated HVAC solution designed to ensure optimal air quality, temperature control, and energy efficiency across the office floors. This system was crucial in delivering consistent occupant comfort while minimizing operational costs.
• Electrical Power and Distribution: Our team handled the complete installation of low-voltage (LV) power distribution throughout the building. This included designing efficient systems for lighting, power outlets, and backup power, tailored to the specific needs of the office spaces.
• Lighting Installations: With a focus on energy efficiency and aesthetics, we implemented modern LED lighting solutions that were not only cost-effective but also helped create a bright, inviting atmosphere for the building’s occupants.
• Security and Safety Systems: The safety and security of the building’s tenants were a top priority. We installed state-of-the-art systems, including CCTV, access control, fire alarms, and a disabled refuge system to ensure a secure and safe working environment for all.

The fit-out was delivered with meticulous attention to detail and in line with the highest industry standards. Our team worked collaboratively with the client and other stakeholders to ensure that all elements of the installation were completed on time and to specification.
